Burgerfuel Opens At The Shangri-la, Abu Dhabi
BurgerFuel has today announced the opening of a new restaurant in the capital city of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi. This is the 73rd store globally for the New Zealand born gourmet burger company with restaurants in the UAE, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Australia and New Zealand.
The new restaurant is located in the new Souk Qaryat Al Beri, a modern adaption of a typical Arabian market that sits within the large Shangri-La Hotel complex and is home to many boutique shops, restaurants and late night entertainment destinations. Water taxis ferry visitors around the waterside complex via man-made canals.
The surrounding area is home to the Grand Mosque, which is the third biggest mosque in the world and receives thousands of visitors every day. It is also host to several large, upmarket residential communities, whose residents frequent the local restaurant scene regularly.
The new restaurant has been opened with BurgerFuel partners, Al Khayyat Investments, (AKI) who now operate 16 BurgerFuel restaurants across the UAE and Kuwait.
General Manager of Food & Beverage at AKI, Farah George Farah, comments, “Souk Qaryat Al Beri is an impressive complex and we’re thrilled to be serving New Zealand’s original gourmet burger in such a dynamic location that will allow the brand great exposure to both tourists and local residents”.
BurgerFuel CEO Josef Roberts adds, “It’s great to be able to meet the increased demand for our gourmet burgers in Abu Dhabi with another restaurant. BurgerFuel has a strong heritage in the UAE and the opening of the BurgerFuel Souk Qaryat Al Beri location further strengthens our brand presence and distribution in this part of the world”.
