Burgerfuel Opens In Newtown, Wellington
BurgerFuel has added to their fleet of stores in the country’s capital with a new store opening in Newtown, Wellington. The store, which is on the corner of Adelaide Rd and John St in the Countdown Complex, opened on Monday the 5th of August. Newtown lies in the south of Wellington central business district and is well known for its strong community vibe, being home to the Wellington Hospital and the famous Wellington Zoo.
Existing BurgerFuel franchisee’s Matt Kingi and Barry Malcolm, who own stores in Courtenay Place and Johnsonville respectively, have combined their extensive knowledge of the city and their powers of creating delicious burgers and excellent service to create yet another exceptional store. Matt says “Barry and I are pleased to become a part of the Newtown community. With huge support from the already established customer base who’ve visited other Wellington stores, we can now happily say Newtown can enjoy their own New Zealand gourmet burger experience, minus the travel”. The store is in the ideal location for people who have done their food shopping but want something convenient and tasty for dinner that night.
Craig Notman, BurgerFuel Australasia General Manager says “It’s great to see another BurgerFuel store open in the capital of the country and we’re pleased to announce that BurgerFuel will be opening more new stores across the country later in the year”.
BurgerFuel Worldwide (BFW) is listed on the New Zealand stock exchange (NZAX) and has won the ‘Franchise Export of the Year’ award at the Westpac New Zealand Franchise Awards last year.
BurgerFuel shares are currently trading at $1.65.
