HIGH FLYERS

One of the coolest things about working at BurgerFuel is the career opportunities.

Here are just a few of the many movers and shakers within the BurgerFuel company!

If you're willing to learn new skills and work hard, then this is the place for you, and there is a heap of opportunity to grow from here!

TRANSFERABLE SKILLS: BurgerFuel is fun, fast and loud. In no time, you’ll be taking on a busy shift in your stride, building you into a robust hospitality guru. Well, you’ll certainly develop some transferable life skills, such as interpersonal communication, customer service, effective management/leading a team (shifties and store managers), local store marketing experience and a sick work ethic. All attributed to working in a dynamic environment, with the ongoing mentorship of experienced and supportive franchisees.

CAREER PATHWAYS: Hospitality as a pathway to leadership, management, career progression and even ownership is not uncommon at BurgerFuel. From store staff moving up store management roles, or to Head Office corporate roles, even to owning their own BurgerFuel store as a franchisee or shareholder. Head here to see if any roles are going at HQ or here see how Chris and Ash worked their way up the ladder from staff member to store owner.

DOUG

BurgerFuel HQ Area Manager

Doug started working in a BurgerFuel store as a Shift Manager in 2012 after being in hospitality most of his working life. After thriving in the kitchen and running a successful team, Doug knew he loved the brand and was searching for more opportunity. He asked what was going at BurgerFuel HQ and shortly after he was offered the role as a Franchisee Trainer in the NZ Operations team. Without hesitation he joined HQ and has never looked back, having just celebrated his 8th year collectively at the Fuel. Doug now looks after 26 BurgerFuel Stores across the country and knows a thing or two about what makes a store successful in their local community.
