Big Day Out 2014

Well it’s official. After weeks of rumours, the lineup for the return of the Big Day Out is finally here and it does not disappoint! Pearl Jam, Blur, Arcade Fire, Snoop Dogg/Lion, Major Lazer and the list goes on. We have the full NZ lineup below (click HERE for your details if you’re one of our Australian mates). It’s back and rocking out at Western Springs, Auckland on Fri January 17. Don’t forget BurgerFuel Ponsonby is open til 3am, and both Mt Eden and Queen St are open til Midnight for your post BDO munchies.

It’s the first ever BDO for Pearl Jam and they’ll no doubt be playing tracks from their forthcoming album Lightning Bolt (out Oct 14). Blur are closing the show, and haven’t been to NZ since 1997. That’s 17 years, so I’m guessing some of you were still in nappies rather than at their gig last time. Arcade Fire haven’t been downunder since 2008, and Snoop Dogg is now Snoop Lion but is still the same D. O. Double G.

10,000 Earlybird Tickets go on sale for $165 from bigdayout.com at 9am on Monday 12 August. After that, it’s up to $185 and worth probably every cent.
