NZ Music Month 2019

Posted by Lee Densem

All year round we try to do a pretty damn good job of playing as much epic New Zealand music as we can. Not to mention, we love a good party as much as anyone...so here's some highlights to celebrate NZ Music Month 2019 at Radio BurgerFuel. You can find all the other goings on over at the official NZ Music Month website.

INTERVIEWS

We started the month by talking to rockers Marcus Powell & Corey Friedlander of CITY OF SOULS, who are about to to do a headlining tour around NZ and Australia.

Then it was LEE MVTTHEWS turn. They've been playing up a storm at festivals and clubs all over the place and have just dropped a video for their great track 'Let Me Go' which features another awesome kiwi talent Embher. Fun fact: Tom Lee used to work at BurgerFuel Mission Bay & Customs St. Backfires and bass, boom!

Long time friend of Radio BurgerFuel, THEIA, dropped by to tell us about her new EP 'Not My Princess' and to catch up with what else has been going on in her insanely fun and busy life.

DAILY J (left below) started as a bunch of brothers in Blenheim, who now call Auckland home. Their single Black Lagoon has been making waves so we got Jayden, Jesse & Rich in for a chat.

We've been big fans of BEACHWARE (right below) ever since we heard their self recorded EP back in 2017. Rob, James & Josh left the VERY pregnant Alex at home and told us about their fun new sounds.

PLAYLISTS

We got some of our awesome BurgerFuel staff to give us a stack of their favourite Kiwi tracks and you can listen to the result right here. Headphones please...

Don't forget to tune in to hear all the New Zealand beats too - you can listen online to Radio BurgerFuel right HERE.
