SWIDT are the best thing to hit the New Zealand hip-hop scene in a long time. They bring energy and community to hip-hop that sees them stand out in an already saturated genre. SWIDT have no trouble experimenting with different styles too, making tracks intertwined with reggae, funk, jazz and soul, creating a well-rounded musical product. Radio BurgerFuel’s Lee Densem was fortunate enough to chat with the crew about their debut album ‘Stoneyhunga’, their musical inspirations, and the environment of Onehunga which has shaped their musical direction.
