Enviro-mental

The BurgerFuel position on social and environmental concerns started at its inception in 1995, when summers were warm on the globe – not due to global warming.  As part of our continuing “enviro-mental” and sustainability ethos, our packaging has been designed and manufactured to strict BurgerFuel specifications and requirements.

Serious consideration for the environment has been taken into account when selecting the materials used in all our packaging. A lot of tree hugging went into the design of The Doofer, our chip cups, side cartons and burger bags.

After going through a Woodstock load of hippies, BurgerFuel finally developed some excellent recycled, recyclable and compostable packaging. We even made sure the ink is made from a natural vegetable oil base sourced from renewable resources, instead of the usual mineral oil solvent stuff.

We then did a little survey in our restaurants and asked people whether or not they’d only come to us if we were more environmentally friendly than the other guys. The survey results came back with a resounding “not really”. But we know and they know it’s the right thing to do.

Wherever possible we take the old oil from our stores and turn it into Bio Diesel. Remember, every BurgerFuel fry you eat is saving the planet. In addition, our Aioli Punnets are made from corn starch which means they are plastic free and 100% compostable.
