21 and Owning It | Meet Ash

Todays rhetoric of 'support local' is one we are getting behind wholeheartedly. BurgerFuel has been keeping it kiwi since '95, and we're proud of it.

We might have an undying passion for American Muscle cars, but we have always been locally owned and operated, with store owners that you'll find behind the grill, having a yarn with you at the till or sweeping the entrance.

 

Nothing could be more true when it comes to the youngest member of the BurgerFuel franchisee family. Raised in Springfield, Rotorua, Ash is the owner of BurgerFuel Fairy Springs and she knows a thing or two about hard work.

With a cultural blend of NZ European and Maori, her Iwi affiliations are to Ngāti Pikiao, Ngāti Rongomai and Ngāti Maniapoto.

This driven young woman is a force to be reckoned with and the Nairn family is backing her all of the way. 

Ash started her first shift at BurgerFuel Fairy Springs as a part time crew member at 15, then trailblazed her way up the ranks, from day shift manager and store manager, to being selected as a key member of the BurgerFuel USA staff training team, opening the very first BurgerFuel store in Indianapolis, USA. 

Her dogged determination and perserverance paid off and she achieved her dream, just last year, of owning her own store...at 21. Yes, you read that right, at the ripe old age of 21. 

With 6 years of operational knowledge behind her, not to mention an intense passion for customer service, Ash is dedicated to providing nothing but quality burgers with an experience to set her store apart from the rest.

Her vision for Fairy Springs is to be heavily involved in the community, including supporting local businesses, schools and events, and especially getting catering cranking once alert levels lift and it is safe to do so.
