Every month we shout burgers to the legends among us who give back to their community or help people in need.
We’re all about businesses and individuals who feed a need and this month we want to hero an innovative and forward-thinking dining concept, Everybody Eats. Everybody Eats is a pay-as-you-feel restaurant that serves up exceptional hospitality with delicious chef-prepared meals that feed bellies, not bins. Their mission is to reduce food waste, food poverty and social isolation in New Zealand.
There are currently three Everybody Eats restaurants where you can come and enjoy a 3-course meal; the flagship pop-up that operates out of Gemmayze St restaurant on Mondays, a permanent restaurant in Onehunga that operates 5 nights a week and a restaurant in Wellington that is open 3 nights a week. You will often find guest chefs from well-known restaurants at Gemmayze St on Mondays, and there are brilliant permanent chefs in Onehunga and Wellington.
At the heart of Everybody Eats is community and it's a fantastic way for both volunteers and paying customers to give back. It's a heart-warming initiative that gives those in a less fortunate position the opportunity to enjoy a premium dining experience, in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
BurgerFuel have been working with Everybody Eats for some time now, offering surplus ingredients left over from burger special promotions, which are whipped up into something entirely new and delicious by their guest chefs. We also provide vouchers for the volunteers as a thank you for the work they do.
