Every month we shout burgers to the legends among us who give back to their community or help people in need.
This month, we shout out to the team at Huggable Hearts for their incredible work and commitment to help families who are experiencing or have experienced baby or child loss through customised heart shaped fabric hearts.
Huggable Hearts works with the family to create a customised fabric heart shaped keepsakes to the baby or child that has passed birth weight, and these are made free of charge. They are used to help remind the families that they aren’t alone in their grief and helps create connection with their lost child.
The huggable hearts are made from donated blankets and wraps or can be made from a blanket or item provided from the grieving family. The hearts are then made to the birth weight of the baby or child with the use rice and fabric cuttings.
In addition to the hearts, Huggable Hearts also provides creative workshops & local connection events so that families can meet other families that are on a similar journey.
