“Summer has been with us from before we opened. Summer and other managers sacrificed a lot before we kicked off this crazy journey. She came down to Auckland with me and the others, spent weeks away from her family. Staying with strangers and training in Westgate. Summer brought a massive skill set with her after her years in Macca’s and then learning the BF way from the team at Westgate. So, when we opened, she really hit the ground running.
No one expected the madness that followed with the opening of our store. But Summer took it all in her stride, and just smashed it. After things settled down Summer came into her own as a shift manager, and reply helped me out. We were doing crazy numbers and she came to me offering a crazy early start to get the prep done and has been instrumental in this ever since. A massive help in training other shift managers and staff alike in prep and making sure we are ready to rock n roll every morning. All while still running shifts.
My kids coming in on a Saturday morning to help out with prep and the setup (so I can actually spend a bit of time with them). Summer has been amazing with them. Showing how to do everything and making them feel part of the team.
Summer continues to grow and really help me in the day to day running of the store. “
