Peanut pissed-off? An open letter to lovers of the Peanut Piston

An open letter to lovers of the Peanut Piston burger.

If you’re reading this, it's likely that you’ve heard the news… and that you’re hoping it’s not true. We can guess what you’re thinking... after a tumultuous year, full of dramatic elections, natural disasters and the loss of Prince, this is the last thing you need.

It was a pretty tough decision, and we’ve spent a fair few hours figuring out how we were going to break the news to you.

“Hey is that the Peanut Piston?” … “New number, who dis?”

…but like all tough calls in life, we wanted to be honest, so we did what any self-respecting burgerbrand would do in this situation - watched when Harry met Sally, put on our big brand undies and penned this letter, from the heart.

A wise old soul once told us that burgers come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime… and after more than 20 solid seasons, and a whole lot of soul searching, we came to the difficult decision that while the love affair with the Peanut Piston has been exhilarating, all good things must come to an end (on the main menu at least).

We’re innovators here at BurgerFuel and we’re always working to create the best gourmet burger experience possible -  which means searching for the most wholesome ingredients, experimenting with new flavours, evolving the menu and engineering new burgers… and something had to give.

The Peanut Piston has been part of our lives for over two decades, so this hasn’t been easy - but if Harry and Sally taught us anything, it’s that life will go on, the sun will rise tomorrow, and another burger will roll on into town and sweep you off your feet.

We don’t want to lose you, so if you’re haunted by thoughts of that “I’ll have what she’s having” orgasmic Peanut Piston experience, then fret not, you can still order it. Yip, bring back the taste of relationships past by customising a Bio Fuel. Simply add peanut sauce and remove the egg and beetroot (or leave them on if you’re keen to have it with the works).

If moving on is more your style (you do you), you know what they say… the only way to truly get over something, is to get under something else... ahem. So we've done just that (three times over) and added three delicious new burgers to the menu, meet them here. That’s three new, tasty chances at love, fresh, readyand ripe for the picking, glimmering with hope and the anticipation of new beginnings.

“It’s better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all”

Yours sincerely, The BurgerFuel Crew.
