RANDOMLY-RANDOM FACTS ABOUT BURGERFUEL

While we have always had a strong and obvious passion for burgers, there is a whole lot of other random sh** we get up to. So, we've compiled a list of some of the most interesting facts about BurgerFuel that we can think of. Like how much Aioli we make a week (UM YUM!) Read on...

1.    KEEP AN (R18) EYE OUT

In most of our limited-edition special burger artwork (the burgers that are in store for a good time, not a long time) our graphic designer hides a rather special, specifically shaped ‘Easter egg’ for people to find. See if you can work it out and find one in the next special!

2.    FEEDING THE FAMOUS

Radio BurgerFuel (and our mates at Fuzen) have had a hand in us accessing some epic opportunities. Over the years, we have fed hand delivered burgers to some mighty names in the music industry. Post Malone, Ghostface Killah, Dub FX, Action Bronson, Andy C, Shapeshifter, Skepta, Souls of Mischief, and Fat Freddy’s Drop have all chowed down on a BurgerFuel burger. Special mentions also go to feeding Taika Waititi, Sam Neil, and Julian Dennison when they released Hunt for the Wilder People.

3.    OUR MAD SCIENTIST

Chris Mills has been working for BurgerFuel HQ for over 20 years, he’s the man behind the burgers you know and love and he’s also the man behind the majority of our limited time offerings – all the new burgers and sides we release every year come from this passionate, mad scientist. He reckons he’s made between 220 – 240 special burgers in his time!

4.    OUR ADDICITVE AIOLI

We know, its amazing. We too are addicted and eat it at every possible chance. Our BurgerFuel Secret Kitchen makes this glorious white liquid gold for us, and every week they produce 4000KG’s of it! That’s FOUR TONNES of Aioli. Maybe we should try swim in it….

5.    CLASSIC BURGERFUEL

We once released the Credit Crunch Burger. When the economy was struggling a little, we wanted to give the people an affordable throwback. It included a lightweight bun, Ripples chips and Vegemite Aioli. Just like the playground days.

6.    EATING THE FUEL WHILE CARVING UP

We have some amazing and crazy customers that are happy to eat BurgerFuel whenever they feel the need. Like when wakeboarding, wakeboarding behind a sea plane, skydiving or just sitting on top of a cliff (Shout out to @D.mack)

7.    GLOBE TROTTING PRIZE WINNERS

Over the years we have been lucky enough to offer up some amazing prizes – all over the world! We have sent customers to The America’s Cup in the USA, Texas, our very own store opening in Indianapolis, Tokyo and to Dubai!

8.    WE’RE WILLING TO BE WEIRD SOMETIMES

As part of a customer prize of ‘a year’s supply of burgers, a snowboard and a PlayStation’, we also invited the winner down to our ‘Smash Palace Caravan’. Which we parked up underneath the Harbour Bridge, had our chefs dress up as hillbillies, billy bob teeth and all, and cooked them a feed! Random, and weird, we know.

9.    OUR MATE BOB

When Bob Harvey attended our 20th store opening in New Lynn, we got him to get into our BurgerFuel Top Fuel Dragster. We parked it outside the store, drew in the crowds and then got Bob inside for a hoon. Bob was so chuffed; he made our founder a West Auckland Honouree – we still have the honours hanging on the wall at HQ!

10.    WE LOVE FACIAL HAIR, AND WE’RE GOOD AT IT

We love facial hair. Give us a strong beard, cool moustache, or some sideburns any day. And to show our love for the hair, we got behind New Zealand’s Beard and Moustache Championship. Unplanned, we also had a staff member win the bloody thing. Cultural Marketing Specialist (the guy you’ve probably seen on the streets around most BurgerFuel stores and events) won best Mo!
