We've teamed up with Red Bull to give all you creatives out there the opportunity to have your work displayed on the big stage through Red Bull Doodle Art. This global competition is designed to empower new generations of artists by inviting all creatives, new or seasoned, to let their minds wander and put their imaginative doodles on paper. Artists from across New Zealand will enter their doodles to a panel of expert judges (including our very own Haser).
However, cos we’re mates with Red Bull, we have an exclusive BurgerFuel competition. Entrants from the World of BurgerFuel (or just hardcore fans) will doodle something ‘full throttle’ – think anything fun, fast & loud, to be in contention to secure a spot into the Red Bull NZ Doodle Art National finals. Entrants from across NZ will then compete, with the overall winner getting a seat with 60+ other participating countries in the grand final in Amsterdam, (yes the one in the Netherlands).
They will then compete against the other finalists where one winner will reign supreme and get crowned Red Bull Doodle Art champion. They’ll score international exposure, mentorship and participate in an NFT auction for their art. There will be workshops, exclusive "phygital" creative sessions and a public gallery. Red Bull Doodle Art is a starting point for any up-and-coming artist and is an opportunity to be recognised on an international stage, representing NZ against doodlers from around the world.
We know it can be hard to get your creative juices flowing sometimes, especially when you have a brief to follow, so we wanted to jump start your thinking with some helpful hints to nail the “Full Throttle” requirements. While our first love has always been burgers, we’re into some other stuff too.
Our obsession with car culture and full throttle machines has been a part of the BurgerFuel DNA since day one. Why not use one of our classics as your inspiration. We have the Ford Fairmont, Dodge Monaco or even our GTX and many others to feature. Or for those of you who are complete car novice’s, you could simply take inspiration from the handles of the car or even the wheel. If cars aren’t your thing, why not take a peek at the other things we love, such as street art or the many talented artist featured through Radio BurgerFuel? Still not feeling inspired?
Check out some of the awesome “Full Throttle” artwork our resident artist and Creative, Sweet creator, Haser has created for us that we feel just embodies us to a T.
No matter where you pull inspiration from, the most important thing is that you feel the final piece of work represents you, and that you had fun of course! Enter by submitting your doodle digitally (via old school pen, pencil paper or even digital pen). Gotta be in it to win it. Good luck!
