Rockabilly Show and Shine

It seems Christchurch knows how to put on a car show! Working with the guys and gals from Rockabilly, BurgerFuel jumped right in the pool with them, helping host what was a truly great event. With over 360 classic cars on display, 80+ market stalls, live bands and entertainment, this family-friendly event had a little something for everyone.

For the last few years, this car show has been growing and, although a reschedule meant it clashed with the Christchurch Christmas in the Park, visitor count was confirmed at 8,000+. However, with it being such a high quality event, we’re all confident that next year the numbers will be higher. 

As the naming rights sponsor, BurgerFuel had a large area set-up, which was made up of the classic BurgerFuel 1972 Ford Fairmont, and a funky hang out zone with bean bags and refreshing drinks in the shade of our big purple star tent. Here we had a mix of activities, from giving out kid’s tattoos and colouring in sheets, hoola hoops, swing ball and a soccer net. This was a great hit, apart from the activity sheets, which made for better paper kites in the strong wind.
