Tackle the burger challenge and crouch, hold and engage in the flavour of Neon Blackout!

Inspired by our intense passion for gourmet Japanese fried chicken, we’re bringing back the super fusion of east and west that was the Harajuku Chicken burger, but with a dark patriotic twist.

In celebration of that nation-stopping event that we Kiwis are pretty good at and involves a ball of the oval variety, we’ve taken crispy, panko crumbed, free range fried chicken, coated it in ultra Yum-Yum Mayo and lashed it with traditional Tonkatsu sauce.

Then we’ve added a fresh and crunchy soba noodle slaw with a sweet and spicy ginger-sesame dressing and served it all between an All-Blackened charcoal sesame bun, with a wedge of lemon on the side, for a fresh bite.

Because we’ve been backing black since 1995, we reckon Neon Blackout is perfectly paired with a Redeem Charcola, an earthy cola nut and charcoal kefir soda, balanced with caramelised coconut nectar, citrus, cinnamon and lavender. Both will get you match-watching ready!
